Maybe these have been around for a while, but I hadn't noticed them.
Notes - no crossover in sub (use AVR), $275 for a pair, and $550 gets you a pair with a Velodyne SMS-1 (which seems like an interesting solution for anyone with a smaller-medium room who knows they will have room issues).

That's been around for awhile. 6 months? A year?

A budget option for some.

Thanks. I had simply missed it.
I know their larger subs are well respected and thought it was interesting that they introduced a product at such a low price point.

It looks like a downsized version of the Hsu STF-1 with a smaller amp. That would make sense since Dr. Hsu is rumored to have designed the rest of Outlaw's subs. With their limited output and extension they strike me as limited to use as a music sub for a small office or some similar use.

The Final Sound subs are not actually Outlaw products, but buyouts from the Dutch company Final Sound that went out of business. For whatever reason, Final Sound didn't catch on in the US and stayed relatively unheard of here. Although, their electrostatics were well reviewed.

Final Sound's specialty was electrostatic speakers, and their subs were intended to mate with them... which should indicate the design goal was for subs with good transient response and "musicallity" as opposed to going for shear output and extension.

Outlaw cleared out a bunch of Final Sound S110 subs a few months back... which were similar to the S95, but slightly bigger cabinet and a slightly more powerful amp... but with ALOT more features on the amp (xover, selectable high passed line outs, phase, ect.)

If you look here:

...you can get b-stock S95 subs for dirt cheap.

I bought 2 b-stock... nice subs... not the greatest out there, but great for the price. I'm using one in the bedroom, and with my PC music setup. They perform very well for the price and application.

As long as you have a receiver/integrated with bass management, the lack of xover is pretty much moot.

I wish there was a phase switch at least, or better yet a variable phase... but oh well.
