Even if you are a fan, you might want to hold off on this one... This is the first stuff from them that I can actually say I am disappointed with.

I have it here with me right now, and after a few full listens, NOTHING stands out on this album. It is almost "pop" on certain tracks, and is so soft compared to everything else they've done.... Previous albums there were always tracks that grabbed you right away, and this one lacks a real winner IMHO. Maybe the iPod generation will take to it better, but I'm not impressed (and I bought the Limited Edition too...) In terms of mastering too, it actually seems like I can pick out the fact that Chester was tracked separately, and if he wasn't it sounds like he was...

That's a bummer. I actually only bought Hybrid Theory, but I liked their stuff.
