Hi all,
New to HT. Currently renovating my living room which previously had a 32" TV Screen (NOT Widescreen, NOT Flat Panel, 10+ years old). Never had a home theater.
Size of entire dining room/living room is 30'x13', but will only be using 15' by 13' for the space of the HT. It is an open space and will be no walls between Dining room and living room.
I will be getting the 73" Mitsubishi DLP as my TV and for my sound setup, I want to keep it relatively cheap. Getting the BEST sound is of no concern to me as I've never HAD a decent system so pretty much anything I get will be an upgrade. But I still want to get a good Price:Quality ratio.
I've done some research and read reviews of Polk Audio monitor series and think these will seem adequate for me after reading A LOT of reviews.
Monitor 60s for FRONTS
CS1 Series 2 for CENTER
Monitor 30s for Surround
PSW10 for Subwoofer
for the AVR, I can't decide between these two
Denon AVR 1610 5.1
Yamaha HTR 5063BL 7.1
Which of these would you guys recommend? (I dont' plan to upgrade my setup to 7.1 at any point)
What do you guys think of this set up?
