Hatachi 55hdt79 plasma 1080I, Denon 7.1 HDMI AVR 887, Denon HDMI 1080i DVD 557,Klipsch RSX 4 RCX 4 {CENTER} RPW 10 {SUB} Cinama 8. My room is 12 feet by 21 feet with me sitting about 15-18 feet away. I will be useing my system primarily for movies. What do you think about this system or can i do better for the money? Total price is about $6,000.00

Just my opinion but I think you can do better in the DVD player. Take a look at the Oppo dv981hd. It up-converts to 1080p and has higher quality image processing circuitry. The Denon dvd player is their entry level player so although it is a Denon you should get better results from the Oppo.

I also feel you can get more bang for the buck in the speaker category. I do own and love my Klipsch speakers but I think the R*X series lack quality you could find in another brand. Take a look at axiom. Or, I'm sure many others here could recommend some others to look into.

Of course it is better to audition anything you would buy to see what sounds best to you.

I like the little Klipsch speakers.

If anything I think you are going to be sitting too far away from the screen. According to this calculator you should have a screen about twice the size from that distance (twice the diagonal is four times the area). It recommends from about 7 to 9 feet for a 55".

Is front projection possible? If your room has lots of windows and gets used for things other than viewing it may not be practical to project.

ETA: Those are little speakers that might be small for that room.

I think you will be sitting too far from that size TV.

as far as speakers go, the only way you can do better for the money is to find speakers you like more, that cost less.
