Hey all,
I've been reading over everyone's systems and have decided to start working on mine. I've pretty much decided that my front speakers are going to be the Athena AS-F2's, but wanted y'alls opinions about them. I've listened to them at Best Buy, which isn't the best place. But I figured that I could get them and break them in within the allotted time for returning items. The problem is I won't have much to compare them to. ANyway, they'll be driven by an old Sony receiver (I forgot the model number), which will in the future be upgraded to an Onkyo. Also keep in mind that I am a student and have a very limited budget :).

On another note, Amazon.com has a sale for JBL's E80 speakers at $149.99 ea with free shipping. I couldn't find any reviews about them and was hoping someone here had a personal experiences. I'm looking for neutral or dark sounding speakers with good bass because I won't be getting a woofer for awhile.

THank you for all help,
David

I'll have to admit, I like the Athena's. My home theater actually consists of 6 JBL S-38's so I am familiar with JBL's. But I have tried out the AS-B2 bookshelves and I thought they sounded amazing for the money. And since you can get the AS-F2 for $400.00, I'd go with those. JMO
