New HDTV question.

Is anybody broadcasting in 1080p? If not when do they plan to and does the 720 look worse on a 1080p television??

No one is broadcasting in 1080p and probably won't be for a long time. 720p, 1080i, and 1080p should all look beautiful - unless they are compressed too much.

720p will look very good, but you won't see 1080p broadcasts for 20 years or more.

You will see 1080p out of HD discs in the next couple of years... Of course, you first have to find out if the 1080p tv you are looking at actually ACCEPTS 1080p. They don't all accept it.

First generation 1080p displays? Thanks, I'll wait.
