Alright, i am new here, but not old to the awesome reveiws
I currently have Pioneer VSX-815K receiver, Toshiba SD-6915 5 diskDVD/SACD/HDCD player, Polk CSM center channel, Primus 250 floors up front, primus 150 out back, Polk PSW10 subwoofer, and a Non-HD TV. It is just something on a budget that sounds great.
What i am looking to do is replace the pioneer VSX815 with a Harman Kardon Reciever. My girlfriends dad has an AVR 85 receiver with the Inifinity Delta 60's and i like the way it sounds. Very crisp and clean and never sounds like it is struggling. The receiver has to be the first to upgrade.
I am looking at three receivers to buy:
Harman Kardon
AVR-247 (new) HDMI 50W X 7; 65W X 2
AVR-630 (refurb) Non-HDMI 75w X 7; 90w x 2
AVR-445 (refurb) HDMI 65w X 7; 80W x 2
The HDMI does not really matter, i am not going digital anytime soon if ever for that matter. They are all about the same price. I change receivers/ speakers like sneaker so its not permanant.
About how i like to listen:
- Loud music within all genres from classic rock to rap
- Loud movies
What i like to hear:
- Crisp, Clear, defined sound processing
- Very clean and open sound
- Lots of dynamics
Any thought from anyone on which would be the best all around receiver. They are all warranted for the 2 years manufacturer warranty.
Sorry for the long post, but it will prevent later questions i am hoping.
Thanks in advance for the info.
