The extension and wattage don't necessarily go hand in hand (and the wattage without sensitivity is pretty much meaningless). They don't spec the 20hz extension, probably more like DefTec does and maybe its the -20dB point, who knows?

Very good point Chris. Do you think that the 45 w RMS is just a typo? That just seems very low to me. I also noticed that it only weighs like 25 lbs. too. Who knows, it may be decent.

Lots of small cheap subs come with only a 50W or so amp. I wouldn't buy one, though. :) So you're back accumulating gear again? :)

No, I am not buying one either. Just curious is all. It just seems the 45 w RMS spec is out of place. That is why I thought that it could be a typo. Yes, have picked up a few things here and there. Nothing extravagant. :D:D:D

It's not a particularly low wattage amp for its price class. Its just that many other subwoofers state wattage in "peak" without declaring that. Let's say the driver is 85 dB sensitive for 1 watt/1 meter, which wouldn't be unusual for a budget 10". Theoretically that adds up to 100 dB at max power for 45 watts. That is plenty loud enough for a lot of people. Maybe if we are lucky I can get my hands on one for review next year, so we can see what an entry level subwoofer can do.

Too many focus on the wattage instead of more relevant things. I was just gonna say you're probably mostly seeing peak claims on similar subs but shady beat me to it.

Welcome back Kotter otherwise :)

It's a good looking sub and a nicer alternative to the rather pedestrian looking sub of Polk in that price class. I wonder how it compares to the Bic 12" sub.
