hey guys just getting ready to buy some new toys"floorstands":D.. well i know alot of you guys out there are not big on klipsch but i am looking at certain models like the xf-48,rf-83,rf-63, and rvx-54.. but i know they came out with the new palladium series and that is wwwaaaayyy over my budget for two pair of speakers..also the new wf series grab my attention, but i want performance not looks. So if i can get some advice on which ones well best perform with a denon-3808, it will be about 85-90% movies,9% gaming, and the rest music..and if they are other floorstands out there i don't mind checking them out..budget around 4000 or less thanks...

I would skip the x-series, they are seriously over priced and don't sound very good from my listenings. I like the Icon W series personally, but that is my taste, and I am a big fan of the Reference series as well. This probably hasn't been much help, but I thought I'd try to save you 10 mins from listening to the Definitive-wannabes-but-failed speakers.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with Klipsch. I think it's just a "what you're used to" thing because they have a very distinct sound. Several years ago I had a friend who had the reference series that had the gold drivers. Thinking back, I believe I thought they sounded fantastic, but I always seeemed to get a bit fatigued by the in your face kind of presentation those horns put out. Others absolutely love that staging. They have a lot of good models and there's some more knowledgeable folks here who'll be able to comment better than I.
