I could be wrong, but a comment I read from Chad makes me think that a pair of these might not exceed the Empire in output. Something about this is for folks that require a smaller footprint, less $$$ and not massive output, but great sound quality. The design is proven and the specs look good, but the amp power is halved. Could be that the drivers don't need it or can't handle more power. I'm sure it's going to compete extremely well at the price point. Not sure, if it's value equates to the Empire. I'm sure we'll hear more as it gets closer...and...I might be totally wrong about this.
