I noticed in today's CompUSA flyer in the newspaper, they have the Pioneer Elite pro1120hd for $4999 with free stand or articulating wall mount and a cheapo DVD player that upscales. Also 3yrs no interest!

Magnolia/BB told me the only difference between the older 1120hd and the new 1130hd is the bezel is now a little smaller and the buttons are now on the bottom allowing the speakers the flush mount against the sides.

Both apparently have ACEIII according to Pioneer's web site, although the CompUSA flyer quoted ACEII (hopefully a typo on this).

Is this 50" worth the price tag?

Thanks

Is it worth it?......If you like the picture quality and have the $$$ :) FWIW, that particular unit (prior models) was a $10K+ display just a couple of years ago.

Hi, AVnewby; the Mag/BB salesperson doesn"t sound well informed on his knowledge of the pio elite differences, the 1130/5060 series is a significant step above the previous series. i"d check more closer on the spec differences at the pio site and do a google search on reviews and news clipsand maybe visit the avs forum plasma section which you can find using google.
