...for awhile anyways.;) I'm looking to spend no more than $2500 and size does matter. That means no, "Well if you can stretch you budget 5 hundred-gazillion dollars you can get this.":p Seating area is 15 feet away and I don't want anything smaller than a 50" so that eliminates the majority of the flat monitors.

Front projection, thought about it, talked to Brian32672 about it but my HT is my living room and the only way I can do it is with a roll up screen hanging from the ceiling. The WAF on that issue is a big negative.

HD, haven't done my research on this yet, I guess I want it.

So this is the start of my search and would like to buy next month, maybe March. Here is what I'm looking at right now.

Mitsubishi 65" Model # WS-65517

GlocksRock,

That Samsung looks nice! Plus it weighs 250lbs lighter than the Mistsu I am looking at.

Ugh, all this display terminology/technology is making my brain hurt. I'm trying to narrow down my search but everytime I think I really like a model I start to find problems that scare me away from it.

Right now I'm leaning towards the Sony KDFE60A20 or Samsung HLR6167W with the edge towards the Sony.

Hopefully a trip to Tucson next weekend will help this process along.

Can you get any deals through the BX?

I'm going to look to be sure but in general, they just can't compete with the online stores, even with the tax break. There selection is below par also.
