Hi guys : I have a Denon 4308ci and it had a faulty digital unit. So I bought a new one, replace the older but can´t see no video coming from the TV or the DVD.In fact, this new unit doesn´t even let me open the menu, blocking things that the older one didn´t do.Do you think that I have to do a new setup of the receiver or it could be bad luck with the latest unit?Tks for the help

Do a hard reset. If you haven't, save the setup to a USB drive first. It's in the manual. Then, do a firmware update.

Since this is a digital circuit and may have some RAM, did it come in an anti-static bag? If so, did you bother to use a grounding strap on your wrist? Static kills stuff like this.

Tks for the answer. No I haven´t done any upgrade or firmware since Denon overhere takes care only for the sets sold by their exclusive dealers and if I had any trouble I would be for myself. As to the package,it had only a protecting paper with bubbles enveloping the digital unit.I bought this 4308 during a trip to NYC so I´m out of any deal with Denon Latin America and have to rely in american friends and in foruns, like this, for advice and support.I´ll try with the help of a good sound technicians to do what you suggested .
