New Denon Preamp/Processor?

Hello,

I heard a rumor from somoene at Denon about a year and a half ago that they were considering making a Preamp/Processor again. Has anyone heard anything or seen anything? I'd love to get a new preamp. I will probably go with whatever Rotel releases to replace the 1068 but I would really really consider a Denon Preamp if they release one that supports DTS-HD.

Ah the mythical Denon PreAmp/Video Processor/Amplifier Combo, scourge of A/V forums for years. Denon has demo'd different prototype versions of this product for years but has never actually released this combo. It was rumored to be around the 20k pricepoint for the whole combo, but has never actually surfaced.

I'd love to see it come around (Would sell the hell out of it) but for the time being there is no such thing. You are better off snagging a Denon and using it as a preamp and coupling it with an outboard amp. Denon 2807 or 3806 coupled with an Emotiva outboard amp would be a pretty strong combo.
