New "Bargain Price" Sony Front Projectors

I just read an article about a couple new bargain priced front projectors from Sony that will be coming out in June. They are the VPL-AW15 and VPL-AW10 priced at $1300 and $1000, respectively.

I don't know how they will preform, but if you're looking for a cheap projector, they sound decent on paper and I'm sure some good deals will be found by buying ID once they are released.

It amazes me how some people can act like douche bags about any corporation which has such a varied line up as Sony. There are very few companies who have done as much for video technologies as Sony, or are as respected in the industry.

I personally can't wait to see these projectors hit the streets and to hear some reviews of them. Considering the quality of their Pearl projector and the success of their Bravia LCD models I expect these to follow suit.

I doubt that Sony’s software division is quite that close to Sony’s projector division.

But to the OP: that is exciting to see, especially with the 24fps capability and price around $1,000.
Hope they end up on Amazion.com for less!
