Sorry if this has been posted. Just got an email about a new Axiom subwoofer called the EP400 which is doing the small footprint thing. Here's what the email said and hopefully the photo works (nevermind, can't attach it sorry) It looks like an Axiom sub but with a triangular bass port on the front right hand corner.

Axiom will launch a new subwoofer in March!

March will see the addition of the Epicenter EP400 Intelligent DSP Subwoofer to the very successful lineup of DSP subs at Axiom. This powerful little subwoofer reaches an in-room SPL of 116dB while going as low as 23 Hz. Now the master bedroom can have subwoofer response as powerful as the home theater room, in an enclosure small enough to tuck in a nightstand or under the bed - it's almost the exact height of our M3 Bookshelf speaker!

Priced at $1,100, this subwoofer will be available in Black Oak, Boston Cherry, Light Maple or Mansfield Beech as standard in-stock finishes, or in our wide range of custom vinyl or wood finishes. Axiom Owner's Club members can pre-order the subwoofer for 20% off. The pre-order price expires February 15th and is only valid for members of the Axiom Owner's Club.

Theres more to a component or speaker than its specs on paper. I'll wait until this thing gets some time in peoples home before making any assumptions but i did think the price was a bit much myself. Considering that you can get an Ep500 for just 100 bucks more. I think that with this subwoofer though their goal was more to create something that sounds good in a small space. As im sure this does, Good enough to fetch the high price? Well we'll see

Well, the PB-10 Performance is confirmed with measurements. I haven't seen 3rd party EP*** measurements without something being wrong and them being deleted.

So.... Not even PB-10 performance for 3 times the price.

Yep. I merely commented on size. Price is another matter entirely...

I was thinking the same exact thing.

The PB10 is bigger, but the SB12+ is not. Even that is cheaper.

I'd take the SB-12 with the PEQ over this.
Said the fanboy with no money... lol

You know better than to read specs and come to conclusions. But yeah, it's pricey. Let's all wait and see how it does before we play 'jump to conclusions'.

As I said earlier, every time an EP*** is measured by a 3rd party, the measurements are dismissed.

I would like AVtalk to measure some Axiom units.

didn't audioholics review the ep500? though I would like to see THD ratings for it.

i tried to suggest to AVTALK the axiom, but they've never heard of it.
