New AVR for me, YAY!!!

So for my Anniversary/Christmas present, my wife told me I could get a new AVR. I ordered and just received my new Marantz SR7008. I set it up last night, but didn't even get a chance to run Audyssey. I must say, that even without Audyssey I can hear a clear difference between it and my old HK AVR-3600. Loving it so far.

Congrats! Nothing like Christmas with a new toy! My wife put a hold on any AV purchases for a while so I bought a new truck! Ha! That'll teach her!

So far I am loving this receiver. I had a bit of a rocky start with Audyssey, but then I found a couple threads on how to get the most out of it, and let me tell you, proper mic placement during calibration is paramount. Movie soundtracks now provide a near identical experience to the movie theater. Truly phenomenal. One of the best purchases I have made for my HT in a long time.
