Hey guys, thanks for the opportunity and any help you can give me.I'm totally new at this and i really need some help.
My whole life been dreaming trying to build a decent home theater and finally i start it but i would like to know if i'm going in the right direction.
i just bought my receiver Yamaha HTR6063 B and the sub Velodyne VDR12.
Now,you guys think was a smart buying?and my next step is the center speaker in the $500 range.Any suggestions?i'm trying to choose between Polk,Energy,Klipsh, etc.
Any help would be really apreciate it.

Thanks Again!!!

I think you should consider your front right/left mains and the center as one purchase. They should match.

All the brands you mention are solid manufacturers, have been around for a while, and stand behind their products. I suggest you listen to them and let your ears decide. IIWY, I would being music CD's and listen to the right/left pair alone, in pure stereo, without any added digital sound peocessing and make my edecison based on which does music better.

If a pair of speakers can sound good on music, it will sound great when expanded to a multi-channel home theater system. It doesn't work the other way around. Just make sure your center nis from the same manufacturer/line as your mains.

If I can add a bit to what Mark said:

Make sure your receiver can handle the new speaker's load. Meaning, if you happen to really like 4 ohm speakers, makes sure the AVR is 4 ohm stable; otherwise only audition 8 ohm speakers.
To avoid this, speakers are usually auditioned and bought first, then the receiver or amp.
