Netflix rocco vs dvd

My wife told me she signed up for NetFlix ROCCU( not sure of spelling). If I understand it, they stream dvds to you via a computer link to your tv. Is she right on this? As she has already done it, I'am not convinced what the benefit/cost is. I may subscribe to various forums but she has gadget fever. She says her brother has this and he loves it. Can someone explain this concept in LAYMANS terms. Thanks

In addition to DVD rentals through the mail, Netflix has streaming movie downloads as part of your rental package. You can either view those streaming movies on your computer (PC only at this point), or on the Roku box. The Roku box is a stand-alone box that lets you view the streaming movie downloads on your TV. You could accomplish the same thing by connecting your PC to your TV, but the Roku is likely to be more convenient for most people at this point in time.
