This new CD by Young is really interesting. It's mainly Young accompanying himself on 8 rather confessional songs. The songs are addicting and his voice is still holding together and all the electronics and loops are distinctly different from what he usually does. What's really amazing is the sound. Deep deep, intense bass notes, vividly distorted guitars (clean, crunchy distortion, if that makes any sense), crystalline acoustic voice and guitar sounds, real dynamic headroom and great separation, this is a sound spectacular. The bass notes will make your sub walk around the room. After not being sure after my first listen, I really love this now.
