I currently own an Onkyo RZ-810, which I recently discovered doesnt support most/all HDR formats.
I use an Emotiva A/B power amp for my pair of tower speakers so my AVR is only powering my center & 2 surrounds (my 2 subs are on preamp outs as well so my current AVR has tons of power that isn't being used.
I'm wanting to upgrade to a new AVR with preamp outs for my main L/R, and that is better equipped to support 4K A/V HDR processing, etc.
I'm not a gamer and my AVR will be used for movies only and listening to music via Bluetooth or CDs, so I'm not concerned about 2.1 HDMI though I realize it'll likely have them.
Can someone recommend an AVR for dummies like me who don't need a bunch of bells and whistles that I'll never use? I'm just wanting a capable 4K A/V friendly unit that is known to be a solid performer, without breaking the bank.
