Need your opinion on dali concept 8

Hello.

I am new to forum. I am looking to purchase a surround receiver and and a pair of front floorstanders.

My shortlist are the JM Focal Lab chorus 714 s and
Dali Concept 8. I havent had a chance to listen to either yet.

My receiver shortlist are the onkyo sr602 and denon avr 2105.

Just wondering if anyone out there owns a pair of or have listen to the Dalis and have an opinion on them. Coz, I cant find any reviews of them, whether user or journal. Except for one at audioreview.com

And for some reason WHat Hifi magazine makes no mention of the dali 8.

He must have lived with his speakers for years now! His opinion would be much more useful than any fresh audition.
I hope he gets the emails when there is a response to his threads.

Have you tried to audition the speakers yourself? After all it's only your opinion that counts.

Not yet. Not easy to find dealers, then stock with them, and finally time from my own schedule to go to a store on weekdays. Over weekends they are too packed to give a serious demo.
I need to have opinions and then I would try to demo as much in a single day. Need to separate out chaff.

EDIT - and btw, returning products after use is yet to hit India. To buy audio equipments, you pay 2-3 times of what you would pay in the US, 100% advance, wait for days/ weeks for product to reach you, and if it is faulty, its yours! Consumers still live in the stone age here.

So why don't you start your own thread stating what speakers you have access to. This way you can get feedback from active members not someone that stuck around for 5 minutes.
