I'm trying to get a group of songs together to burn on a CD. But not just any songs. I mean "cool" songs . ie Black Betty . I've never tired of this song. Its got this "drive" to it that begs one to crank the volume a whole lot more. Are there any other songs out there like that?

Cool is relative. What different people think is cool music can be very different. I remember black betty and it didnt do that much for me. Here are some songs that are cool to me; natural one by folk implosion, top floor bottom buzzer by morphine, where its at by beck, hello by poe, the shame of life by butthole surfers to name a few.

Yes, 'cool' is relative, but since 3dB specifically mentioned Black Betty, I would assume he wants songs similar to that; ie hard driving electronica/bass type music with an infectious (but repetitive) beat.

So here are a few of my suggestions:
Planet Patrol - Play at Your Own Risk, Cheap Thrills, Danger Zone, Didn't Know I Loved You (Till I Saw You Rock n' Roll).
Trinere - all of her hits. (See Trinere & Friends Greatest Hits CD on TowerRecords.com).
Shannon - Give Me Tonight, Let The Music Play, My Heart's Divided.
Pretty Tony - Fix It In The Mix, Jam The Box

If you like Black Betty, you just may like that kind of music. I love it as it is the type of music they play at the skating rink and I loved skating as a kid (and still do although I am soon to be 'middle aged'). Planet Patrol is particularly good for testing the bass capabilities of a system.
