As of now i am planning to use my ps3 for bluray, and get a 360 hddvd add on, and pre-wire an input for a dedicated player and wait for a winner of the format war. Once again all suggestions and better prices on equipment are appreciated.

I have only two suggestions- the remote. Costco sells a Harmony with a color LCD display for $169, quite a steal. I have a Harmony 659 that is quite capable ($150) No real need to spend $500 on a good universal remote, although the one you list is very nice. As far as the subwoofer, I'd go with a more powerful sub for your size room (probably more $) like a bigger Velo (I'm kinda partial) or one of the SVS or HSU subs that are so beloved on this site. Also, your Pioneer receiver has HDMI switching - are you sure you need an outboard switcher?

For $612 shipped, the HSU VTF-3 MK2 sub will provide deeper, more visceral impact.

having two subs is always a plus, try to stay with two subs if you can, however, as it is only a HT you may want something that digs deeper than the VRP-1200, like a pair of VTF-2 MK2's, or VTF-3 MK2's as AVRat suggested.
