So, I am turning 70 in a couple of weeks and my wife wants to buy me a new tv to replace my Toshiba 50 inch rear projection. This is all real good so far. I like quality, she likes size. Then she wants it to be 3d. We will be sitting 12 feet from the screen. So what should I get? Four years ago I bought the Pioneer 60 inch Elite Kuro plasma tv for my bedroom. This is one great tv with the clearest picture and deepest blacks of any tv I have seen. I am using it as a benchmark for getting my new tv.
Read reviews on the Sharp Elite 70 inch pro70x5fd. Looks good but I have not personally seen one. The new Sharp 80 inch LC-80LE844U just came out. Has anyone seen one? Will Sharp come out with an 80 inch Elite?
