Need tips to aim tweeters

Have Focal In-wall speakers that have movable tweeters. What are some tricks or methods to get the tweeters aimed at the Main Listening Position? The room is large with high ceilings so if we don't aim well it will add up.

Movable tweeters haven't been shown to make a big difference in those types of speakers. You might as well aim the tweeter at the listening position, but it's not going to have a major effect on the sound.

Yeah I agree with shady. The aimable tweeter imo is a little dubious. I’ve never seen measurements but I believe that aiming the tweeters off of 0° can cause interference with the baffle(side reflections), and I doubt that there’s any bsc built in for that. You say the room is large, so if you’re not very close to the speaker, I’m sure you’d be within the dispersion angle.

I heard something about that, too. That the middle frequencies reproduced by both the Tweeter and the Woofer can collide when one is pointed a little differently than the other. Anymore info on that?

All speakers do that when they are not full-range driver speakers or coaxial. The design of the kind of speaker we are talking about will probably be less subject to that effect than normal speakers.

Well grasshopper, those are just a tad beyond amiable tweeters. Btw. How you like?
Yeah the whole midrange and tweeter moves. I wonder if that makes a difference @shadyJ ?

They sound awesome good sensitivity they can keep up with my RBH and I'm finally getting great imaging. I had put in walls up there like a dumbass and not in ceilings.

I had a huge hole in my panning and scanning with overhead effects not anymore everything overhead images well pans well and sounds great

I actually really like these speakers

I saw those, too. But I just went with the simple coaxial version. The one that you have pictured actually points 55° off of 0° axis, whereas the coaxial version is fixed at 35° off of 0°. Those other two woofer speakers in that box aim about 30° the other direction to bounce bass off the wall. I didn't like that, and that's why I just went with the coaxial.

Yeah there are some compromises in the design but I loved the 55 degree angle the high sensitivity and power handling I needed something that could keep up with the rest of my RBH speakers

Hey do you have a link of that coaxial you purchased? I'd love to check that out
