A little background. back in 2005 i built out my man cave and at the time the equipment was all very good stuff. since then, 2 receivers bit the dust and i have gone a few years with the awesome sound of just the built-in TV speakers (ugh)

moving into a new home this summer and would like some input on what perhaps would be a good fit from the AVR and Surround perspective:

L/R Speakers - Martin Login Mosaic
Center - Martin Login Fresco
Sub Woofer - REL Q150E

the original Speakercraft surrounds stay with the old home being sold. what might match up well now with the existing speaker?

TV is the LG OLED 65"

no idea what our source will be as far as cable provider yet.

Looking for your input on what AVR would fit the bill along with an idea on a pair of surrounds to match the legacy system.

Audio and Video quality are the main needs, i don't feel we need a lot of bells and whistles though, other than current hdmi, ARC, apple play or Bluetooth. We don't even rent DVDs anymore.

it is possible that the new living room will be laid out as such and support a 7.1 environment, but no idea yet as the looking as just started.

Basic folks here that just wan good, rich sound.

thanks in advance,
Brian

If you like the sound of the fresco speaker, you might check the secondary market(yep, eBay). I saw a nice looking pair for 359. That would give a nice blend. The mosaics will be different than the center and surrounds, so imo as many speaker should match as possible. Center and surrounds in this case. For a receiver, lots of us recommend getting a refurb from accessories for less. This is a great way to save money, and they're a good company to deal with. That will also leave you with some extra money for something that you didn't ask about. That's the subwoofer. Imo this would be a good time to consider upgrading that as well. From what little info I could find, it's a smaller sealed unit, and also older. Rel isn't particularly known for value in the subwoofer market either, and for "X" amount, you can do better. If you end up in a basement on concrete, or a larger room you'll definitely want to upgrade. The mosaics also look like an easy load so a mid range avr shouldn't have any trouble driving them.

Hi Brian and welcome to AH. You certainly have nice L/R/C speakers.
As for Sub: From what I gathered it's 10" driver with 150wr rms amp and in 17liters sealed box
I'd consider that only good fit for small rooms (below 1500 cuft)
Your LCRs drop like a rock to 4ohm impedance and stays there very often:

You should limit yourself to receivers officially rated for 4 ohm speakers or better yet - get AVR with 7.1 pre-outs and use 3 channel amp to power your LCR, while using AVR's amps to power rest of surround speakers

New or Like New Denon/Marantz purchased from authorized resellers have 3 year warranty which may give a bit of piece of mind.
I recommend going with denon 3xxx series or a bit higher

No need to go crazy and get top/near top model - it won't help you much.

Speakers and Sub (yes - mostly likely you'd have to use old sub in the bedroom/office or sell it) I suggest to postpone until you know exactly what is the space you're working with, not trying to retrofit.

But in general subs from HSU, PSA, Rythmic, SVS are better value and performance than B&M brand like REL.
They are trying to bring new budget models to compete with ID brands like I mentioned above and while prices are somewhat compelling the raw performance is not match yet
