I am looking to up date my current eight year old energy (8") sub. Any thing would be better than what I have now. I am looking at the psb 5i sub.,also the definitive technology super cube III. There is not alot of info.(reviews) on either. I have found a psb 5i for $350.00 and a definitive cube III for $399.00 . Both are open box with warrenty(hence the lower price). Normal retail is $499.00 and $699.00. on these units.Which one would provide the best all around performance?

My current set up is a Harmon Kardon 635/ Paradigm monitor 20's for right/ left front and a Audio monitor lsr center. My rear speakers are paradigms as well. Any advise would great. One other thing, I want the most bang for the buck under $500.00.

Well, for under 500 bucks you can pick up an SVS PB-10. That'd be my vote as an awesome "bang for the buck" sub.

I'm going to second that vote.

Is your old sub an Energy e:XL-S8? I had that sub too. I can see why you want to upgrade ;)

Rluvs,

I have to give the SV sub a third. It's the sub that I'll be moving too later this month. All the online reviews I've read sing praises for that sub.
