Hi Guys,

I am on the brink of getting new computer speakers. I am not trying to spend a lot of bucks on them. Here are my requirements:

1.) Must be under $50.
2.) I don't want to wake up my neighbors but I like listening to good quality music output. What I am looking for is not LOUD speakers but speakers that can deliver quality output along with good bass.

The aim of getting the new speakers is to get something that can deliver good bass. I have been browsing Altec Lansing and Logitech for quite a while. I have heard few Altecs but never a logitech. I liked them. How's logitech?

So, considering me as someone who appreciates music and wants to listen the quality output, please suggest me options based on your expertise.

Thanks to all in advance.

I've been using Altecs for a few years so far.

FWIW, we're running three 2.1 sets of Altecs on our computers. Two were $25 at Wallmart and the third was $50 at Comp USA.

Actually, one of those $25 jobbies we keep at our sons house in Texas so we have something to plug out Ipods into when we stay there.

I've found Logitechs to be "bassy" and more expensive.
