Need some suggestion on headphones

Hello. I had been using a Sony MDR-V300 headphone for over 5 years and I have been looking for a new one ever since its earcup broke. I have tried Sony NC-40 and now MDR-V6 headphones, but so far I believe I haven't find one I'm 100% satisfied yet.

MDR-V6 is like what its description says, has very accurate and clear sound and bass. However, I wonder if I can find a similar headphone (clear sound and good quality) but with more bass...I know people would comment that V6 has enough bass already, but I'm just not impressed with it after experienced using V300 for years...(just a habit to have more bass, probably). I think even NC-40's bass is stronger than V6's in this comparison, when it is turned on :( (which made me a little disappointed)

I was thinking maybe I should go back to the store and buy a Sony XB-500 and return MDR-V6, but does it worth it? I also have read some reviews on website says that XB-500's sound leaked and people around can easily hear it, is it true?

Or is there any other similar good headphones? I would greatly appreciate your comments. Thanks!

Well the fist suggestion is to look at other headphones other than Sony.

I have an Audio Technica set that does a great job for ~$80.

Go big or go home :D

I don't know about great bass in a headphone. That's just hard to really get IMO. I mean great bass is chest pounding. But your best bet is to give your new headphones time to break in for you. I suggest you listen for 2 or 3 weeks consistently. Then after those weeks decide.
