Out of all those I would definantly say the paradigms are better. Actually The paradigm atoms sound excellent and only cost about $299-319 a pair. Pair it with a cc-190 ($299) center and you would be in buisness. The monitor 7's arent bad, but they lack base. You could save the money with the atoms and just get a decent sub. What kind of receiver do you plan on using?

That should be fine actually. I had a yamaha receiver with my last paradigm setup and it sounded pretty good.

If the E80s are in good shape thats a great price. The JBL Northridge speaker line is pretty good. JBL built them off the Studio series - of which the S38s were the pick of the line for bookshelf speakers -very good. I had a pair of the E50s - almost exactly the same thing as the S38s but with a different tweeter.

I would look for the larger - and better EC35 center.

I have the monitor 7s and the 290 with a boston sub because I have not got around to getting a cube 10 sub. Any how these speakers are awsome I love them JBL's are great too, but if you wait to get the monitors I would say its worth it!!!!

Well the most used are Yamaha, but try to be careful when you buy the things, make sure it's the real one.
