Alright guys so I recently went searching through some stuff at my parents place and I found some cool audio stuff that I would for sure like to stick in my house. I found a onkyo-tx-sv414pro amp in there and 2 Bose speakers (no markings to identify them but they are pretty small.) All look to be in good shape, I know that the amp is probably late '90s. The speakers seem newer though (if I recall this was all some failed experiment my dad tried a while ago). So I want to hook all this stuff up at my place, what I want to know is, what exactly do I need to make all this come together, I know I will need to get some other speakers including a sub. Should I get a new receiver? All thoughts and advice accepted, thanks in advance!

best I can tell on the web, TX-SV414pro is a stereo receiver, so all you need to do to try it out is hook the pair of speakers to the speaker outputs on the back and set the receiver to FM tuner and see what you get. If you need speaker wire, just get some 16 gauge two conductor wire at any big box home store like Lowes or Home Depot....no special type or brand, just inexpensive "lamp cord" will work fine.

Edit: found another of those speakers, 3 in total plus the amp.

Well ive got everything set up, so it seems to all work well, the speakers sound pretty good. So I still need some help determining what else to buy to complete this set. Im pretty sure there is 1 more speaker somewhere at my dads place, but any suggestions on what center speaker and subwoofer for reasonable prices I should buy?
