Right now I have some maudio bx5a speakers that I am using. They are connected to my presonus firepod. I also have a yamaha htib yht 393bl I bought a month or so ago that I am not really using at the moment. I am using the speakers with my computer and I want to use the sub from the yamaha with my bx5a's until I buy a better sub.
The sub only has one rca cable coming from it and no ins or outs. I can plug the sub into a different input on the firepod and it works but I don't think this is the best way of doing it. If i turn the volume on the sub up very much at all it is already loud.

How would I do this? do i just need a crossover? Would a cheap one like this work: http://www.amazon.com/Pyramid-CR66-Electronic-Pass-Crossover/dp/B000A8B1TG/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1293749297&sr=8-6
except it only has crossover at 180, 90 and 50 which i thought it should be 80?

edit: Actually there is this one that does 80.. http://www.amazon.com/Pyramid-CR65-Electronic-Pass-Crossover/dp/B000A8BPL0/ref=sr_1_11?ie=UTF8&qid=1293749498&sr=8-11 but nothing lower
anyways thanks for any help!
