Need some help with my Outlaw 950 !!!

I just picked up a used Outlaw 950 with the outlaw 755 amp. I ike it but I can only get my subwoofer to play when its on 5 or 7 chanell stereo. I have tried to Google the issue but all I can find is talk of the bass management system. I have swichted subs, outputs, gone through all the menu items and can not figure this one out. When I set DB levels the sub works as well, so I know it is getting a signal and works, but any type of dolby or surround setting it no longer works. anyone have some ideas for me? Thanks.

Do you have your speakers set to small and the sub mode as LFE? You could also set the speakers as large and the sub set to LFE+Main if your main speakers are full range.

That was it!!! I had to set all speakers to small room. I dont really understand why but it worked. I am new to seperates and thank you for the great info.
