I picked up an Aragon Stage one for $80 to use as a pre amp for a 2 channel setup. I was using an old Technics AV receiver as a pre amp coupled with a Krell amp. When using the Technics, I could adjust volume with Technics using a blu tooth connected device to play music through Spotify. Once I switched out the technics for the Aragon, the Aragons volume control would not adjust the volume. I could only use my phone to do so. Why is that? I have the Aragon set on stereo direct. Also, with the technics, it seems the bass and overall sound stage was fuller. The Aragon definitely seems to sound better, but the bass doesn’t seem to hit as hard, it’s more subdued. I have no familiarity with the Aragon and was hoping someone could help me out. Thanks.
