hey this is my first time creating a home theater system and im kinda confused at all of the options. if you wouldnt mind could you help me choose between these option or offer others thank you.

Recievers:
$400 DENON AVR-2312CI 7.2 Integrated Network A/V Surround Receiver
$329 DENON AVR-E400 7.1 4K & 3D Networking Receiver Airplay
$349 DENON AVR-2113CI 7.1ch Networking Receiver w/AirPlay 3D Ready
$300 DENON AVR-1913 7.1ch Home Theater Receiver w/AirPlay 3D ready
$500 Yamaha RX-V673 7.2-Channel Network AV Receiver

Speakers:
$300 Klipsch - HD Theater 600 5.1-Channel
$248 Monoprice 10565 Premium 5.1-Ch. Home Theater System with Subwoofer (these are essentially the same as the energy speakers but $100 less)

These are the ones i have been looking to buy but am confused on which would be better also when you choose can you also recommend an affordable speaker set so i can get the 7.1. i really appreciate the help

btw the reason i like these recievers is because of the Audyssey and YPAO

IMO, you should spend no more than $250-300 on the receiver and closer to $500 on the speakers.

If you don't mind refurb, this is a good receiver. It has Audyssey XT (which I like) along with all modern features to make it somewhat future proof. http://www.accessories4less.com/make-a-store/item/DENAVRX1000/DENON-AVR-X1000-5.1-Channel-Networking-Receiver-w/AirPlay/1.html

For speakers, I'd recommend 4x Pioneer BS22 and center C22. At deal prices these should be under $300.

For subwoofer, BIC America F12, http://www.amazon.com/BIC-America-F12-475-Watt-Subwoofer/dp/B0015A8Y5M

I'm sure the experts will give you some guidance but I own a Yamaha receiver and love it however I don't use YPAO. I've tried and tried to use it but I have found it not very useful for my musical tastes. I have been told it is because I have bi-polar speakers with powered subs and YPAO does not work well with them. Maybe it works better for Movies. I'll bet it would work better for you. Not much of a help other than expressing my fondness for my Yamaha. :)

Pioneer PDP-5020FD
Yamaha RX-V3800
Samsung BD-F5700 Blu-ray Player
Sony - PS3
Definitive Technology BP7006 Mains
Definitive Technology CS-8060 HD Center
Definitive Technology Pro Monitor 1000 Surround
Power Sound Audio XS 15 Subwoofer

To add just a bit to what agarwalro states above, not only do speakers matter more for the sound than the receiver, but better speakers matter more for the sound than going with 7.1. I would rather have a 5.1 system with better speakers than a 7.1 system with lesser speakers. So I recommend that you forget about 7.1 and go with no more than 5.1 so that you have more money per speaker to get better speakers. Though looking again at the post of agarwalro, 5.1 is what agarwalro recommended (but without drawing attention to it).

Now, if you had many thousands of dollars to spend, then going with more channels might make sense. But I think most people make the mistake of going with speakers that are not very good so that they can have more of them and so that they can have a higher model of receiver. Resist that idea if you want the best sound for your money. Also, in the future, when you decide you need some new feature that you cannot get now, it is the receiver that you will be getting rid of, not the speakers, so money put into good speakers is a better investment in the future than putting extra money in the receiver.

thank you for the help and for the guidance on the receiver. You were pretty spot on with how much importance i put on the receiver. ill go with your selections because my main problem was that i wanted somewhat future proof receiver rather than quality speakers. but that receiver that was posted in the first reply seems pretty good and the speakers are top notch for the price. thanks once again probably saved me from making a purchase i would have regretted down the line

btw could you direct me to the correct cords i would need for the sub and the speakers. thanks im a little confused on the quality aspect of the cords

I totally agree, speakers aren't the place to save money. Good speakers will make a cheaper receiver sound better and unless you really have the room for a 7.1 system a 7.1 receiver isn't really that important. While there are work around to making a receiver sound better and more powerful, there are no ways to make your speakers sound better without replacing them.
