I am interested in a new 7.1 reciever with a price range between $400 - $700 dollars to run these speakers.

My speakers are as follows:

Fronts: Axiom M3v2 8 ohms

Center Channel: RCA 8 ohms

Rear Speakers: Cerwin-Vega Sat-6 100 watts 4 0hms

Additional Speakers: Altec-Lansing Indoor Outdoor Speakers 80 watts 8 ohms

The problem is with a new reciever i want to put the cerwin vega as my rear speakers but the impedence on the CV are 4 ohms while all my other speakers are 8 ohms so i would need a reciever that is compatible with 4 ohm as well as 8ohm.

Any reccomendations would be of great help.

As of right now i have a passive Cerwin-Vega sub but will invest in a powered sub in the future...

Only one new receiver I can suggest, the Onkyo TX-SR805.:D

But, if you don't absolutely need HDMI and some newer features, you can get one of these below for pretty cheap.:D

This was JVC's Flagship model, and is THX Ultra certified. This means it is fully capable of handling 4 ohm loads. I have the JVC RX-DP9, which is very similar. Here is a link to my impressions on of it.

Good luck:)
