Currently use an Iphone 7 with a Chord Mojo DAC. Looking to get away from Apple and use a dedicated portable player. Apple has had a issue with using an aftermarket DAC for some time now with audio cutout issues. Well document on the apple discussion pages. Would love to use my Beyerdynamic T1's straight from a player. Looking for a media player that can sync with my Itunes library. Is there anything out there other than the Iphone? I read about the A&K but them seem difficult to sync a play list too. Thanks

Ditch iTunes while you have the opportunity.

Why limit yourself to the closed Apple ecosystem?

I could do that, but have a ton of music from Apple downloaded. What are the other options that I could export to and use? And where do you buy from except Bandcamp etc?

If you have them in ALAC, find a transcoder to convert them into FLAC. You could try XLD, it seems to have a good rep. This alone will open up a host of options outside the Apple ecosystem.

Try HDTracks for high quality downloaded music.

Dunno how to export from iTunes. 10+ years ago, I know that many iPod owners were using something called SongBird, but dunno if that is even still around.

I use Foobar as my media player.

I buy and rip CDs.

Iphone's actually have some of the best internal audio sections I've ever measured in a phone. +-0.5dB from 5hz-22khz, good SNR even with my low impedance high sensitivity etymotic's, and very low output impedance. Don't waste your money. The iPhone is excellent by itself, just add an amp if you need more power.
