Need New Front Speakers

Hello,
One of the woofers on one of my ADS CM6 front speakers just blew. The volume was not loud at all and it blew so I think it might be time to get better quality front speakers. I am considering having it repaired, and if you think that repair is a better option please let me know.

Could you please recommend a good front speaker pair for $600 and under.
I am definitely opened to buying used (ebay).

I was thinking of B&W's but wasn't sure of a good model. Bookshelf or floorstanding, I just want some quality sounding front speakers (hopefully a step up from the ADS CM6's) for my Home Theater (movies & music).

Thanks

I own a pair of B&W 683s. The sound from them is nothing short of astounding for me. I compared to quite a few similar models when auditioning speakers and they blew everything in the same price range away. For me at least. Unfortunately these are well out of your price range, but I was just saying that, for the price, B&Ws are most definitely worth the price of admission.

If you're a fan of classical music, most likely it was recorded with B&W monitors, so you're at least one step closer to the reference setup with B&Ws... though I suppose that doesn't mean much given everything they'd use to record with would outclass just about anything mere mortals can afford...

Anyway, I highly recommend you go an audition any speakers you think you might want, especially if you're willing to drop $600 for a pair. There's some tight competition at the price range from what I saw while I was looking 2 months ago.

Klipsch Reference RF-42 II Speakers. OPEN BOX Pair ?
around $400 open box and its on eBay let me know if thats like the range if you want higher end let me know i'll show you higher end w/ links

How much watts are you pushing into your speakers that'll give me a better idea for something that'll handle and not distort.

These BIC sounds really good for around your price range they have a lower end one but this higher end up handles a lot of power.
