Need HT connection HELP

Here is what I have:

Denon 3311CI
Sony bluray 570
Optoma HD20

I am hoping to use this setup to watch movies thru bluray first and in the future will hook up an HD directv receiver. Here is the issue.

Everything is hooked up including 7 speakers and 2 subs. The HDMI is currently running from the Optoma into the Denon. When I try to set up the denon through audyssey the optoma is not recognizing that it is hooked up to anything. Therefore I cant see anything onscreen and it sucks trying to use the denon to decifer the audyssy setup (which btw is not recognizing the back to surrounds and the other subwoofer).

ANyway, bottom line is I need some serious guidance if anyone can give me the basics of hooking it all up. Thanks in advance.

Never mind. I got it!! Reading the manuals really does help.

Denon has horrible manuals so I am surprised you figured it out using the manual.

This is much better (not sure if Batpig has updated to the "11" models yet or not but the basics will still be the same).
