i sold my harman kardon 5.1 system and now have some spare cash and dont have a center to go with my 4 polk monitor 70 towers. i have been told by MANY people that i should match and go with a polk center speaker. my sub is pretty loud so when i would turn up my system the center would kind of fade out a lil, for example if some1 was talking and a bomb explodes i would have a hard time hearing the talk. that i think has alot 2 do with the fact that i was running 4 monito 70 tower speakers and my center was a harman kardon satellite.

i have narrowed my choices down to 2 speakers. i have enough money to get 1 speaker so money is not a issue and as i stated b4 i dont have a center right now and have to get 1. plz help me pick 1, which 1 is louder and more powerful? which 1 will compliment my towers better?

polk CSIA4
AND
polk CS20.

That really doesnt matter. You can adjust the settings so that the center is set to the same "volume" as the rest of the speakers. This needs to be done with all your speakers. Even your old HK center could have been set to at least try to keep up.

The important thing is timbre matching and i'd imagine either of the centers you posted would work just fine. I personally prefer the CS20

The Polk CSR is the one on their website that seems to match the M20s. Other than that, I can't say which is a better match.

Depending on the model of the HK speaker there's no way it could keep up with the Monitors. I believe the TSi line replaced the Monitor line so I would go with the speaker from that line. The CS20 should be a nice match and as long as you have a decent amount of power volume shouldn't be an issue.

The ideal front stage is three matching speakers to maintain timbre (seamless front sound) .You could puchase a third 70 towere for about $200 an have it horizintal.

Of the two center speakers you mentioned, the CS20 might be more suited to match your towers.

Sound like you have your sub set at an awesome level ;) the only way to run a sub.

it was the hkts 11 center, it was pretty lousy when working with the monitors but when working with the matching sats it was ok.

Voice matching is very important with fronts and the center, but I guess you already found that out. :D
