I'm hoping to find help in buying my first HD TV. I'm basically a rookie when it comes to this.

I mainly watch just sports and movies, and would like to keep my budget to a max of $2,000.00. I'd like to find a good value I can be proud of in a 32" - 42" TV.

I'm leaning toward an LCD because I'm afraid of Plasma burn-ins and durablity. I like what I've seen from Philips, Panasonic, and Pioneer (too pricey?), but I know there are more options out there. Most of my research has been done at Best Buy.

Any help would be great!

westinghouse

Yes, westinghouse, makers of dishwashers etc. has a 42 inch 1080p LCD widescreen TV that is at the 2000 price point, and is often on sale for less. It has HDMI inputs and is capable of a true 1080 P display. I have a westinghouse 720p 27 inch LCD tv. and have really been happy with it. If I had an extra 2K thats the one I would get.
