Need help with system

I am trying to purchase a loudspeaker for exterior use that can reproduce up to 16,000hz. I does not need to be stereo.

I have a 600w amplifier, but I do not want to ruin the speaker. I am willing to purchase another (smaller)amplifier if needed
Can you please tell me where I can get these parts? I am absolutely a novice and I need it spelled out in "dummy's" terms.
Radio shack has a 100 watt powerhorn, but it says it only produces up to 9,000hz
Thanks

Do not despair. I think I have the best solution for you. Read and learn more about speakers and how amplifiers work with them. Learn more about efficiency, power rating, speakers design and shopping hints in detail. Ultimately, learn how to assess and evaluate great-sounding speakers. Go to http://www.soundvisiontech.com. Good luck.

What JulianJ neglected to mention was that he wrote the "e-book" for sale at the link posted.

I love cheap advertising pitches disguised as helpful advice ;)

All I got to say is that some people just don't have no shame. Also this can be a scam. You might get interested, pay for the e-book, he will get your credit card number, and your money. And all you get is something he typed up and stole from a magazine or worst NOTHING. People just be careful. I have nothing against you Julian, except that you know no shame.

Thanks but

I would like to follow up with my original question. I need a small size speaker like a tweeter ( in a box) that can handle 20khz and 200-300 peek watts.
I just want the function. Don't care about sound quality. Looking for something inexpensive and small??? Any ideas?

From your two posts it sounds like a special need speaker. What are you trying to accomplish that needs 20kHz outdoors? Firstly very few humans can hear it, so is it for the animal kingdon?
Secondly, audio application tewwters cannot handle such power in those Frequency range, up in smoke with 20-50 watts.
So, you may need somesort of commertial application speaker/driver that handles such power. Not sure where to look.
