Need help with Sony home theater

I have a Sony DVD home theater system DAV-SB100 hooked up to my tv and when i turn it on it plays for an hour with no problems and then it starts to turn itself on and off at random is there any way of fixing this issue or is it better just to buy something more recent and better

Check if its overheating.
Check powercables that they are firmly connected.
