Need Help With Rear Speakers

Hi Everyone,

I recently moved to a new apartment and need to redo my rear speakers. My system is as follows:

Receiver: HK 5.1 channel surround
Center: Infinity Interlude Series
Front Speakers: Infinity Interludes - Large Floor standing speakers
Rears - Need to be replaced but were Infinity Interludes as well
Sub: Velodyne 10" subwoofer

So here is the deal. I need some recs for some rear speakers I can mount on a wall. The rears I had before weighed 25lbs each and I have been unable to find a wall mount that will keep them up. I had them on a stand before but with a 14 month old I am too fearful she will knock them over.

Only limitation is that I want them to be less than 12lbs each or have a way of mounting them on the wall without too much damage (I do live in an apartment). Would really appreciate any recommendations on dipoles or monopole speakers? Pricerange is $200-500 for the pair.

Some I have considered Energy CR-3 (though not seem to be around anymore), Infinity OWS-1, Monitor 30, ....

Please Help and thanks in advance,

FM

Tonal matching critical for superior surround sound

I'd give strong consideration to the Infinity OSW-1. Tonal matching in a surround system is critical to good audio staging. Since you are currently using the Infinity Interlude series speakers with Ceramic Metalic Matrix Diaphrams (CMMD), you should get better results. Also, the OSW-1 speakers weigh only 6.5lbs each. ;)

I just bought the Infinity OWS for my dining room. I heard them on at circuit city ($250)and thought they were decent speakers. I bought them on ebay remanufactered from Infinity directly for around 100 shipped.

I haven't played them yet, i am in the middle of wiring things.

I don't know what your room looks like. I forgot how big these things are. They're pretty large, they're fullsized speakers.

just as an FYI.
