Need help with Onkyo Crossover

Hello. I am new here.

I recently upgraded from a Logictech Z2300 (meant for PC use) to an Onkyo 9100THX. I set up everything using the Audigy microphone method. When playing through any non-hdmi source, bass is underwhelming. I am outputing music through optical and is doesnt base lacks the impact it had using a headphone jack to my old pc speakers. I can't seem to find crossover settings on this receiver. I can find settings that allow me to adjust +- db for ~5 different frequencies for each speaker, but I thought crossover is where you set the frequency that each speaker kicks in at? I hear the onkyo receiver is a decent one, so I would be surprised if it didn't have crossover control. Please don't tell me to buy new speakers, even these may be overkill for my apartment. Thanks in advance! Also, despite what I read online, the HDMI pass-through degrades picture quality from my XBox 360.

press v arrow - below enter in middle
1. Component - press v arrow again
2. Speaker configuration - press 'enter'
Shows subwoofer Yes/no - keep pressing v
Left fr sp large/small - vvv until crossover then press < or > to change
from 40,50,60, 80 etc
When selected press 'return'

Onkyo 9100thx crossover

Thanks for the reply.
My "Speaker Configuration" page only lets me put "Yes" or "No" for each speaker set, there is no large or small option I can find.

Then it may have a fixed crossover and if you set the subwoofer to Yes, it will redirect all bass below that fixed crossover point (probably 80 or 90 Hz) to the sub.

Crossover trouble

This is unfortunate. As is, the system only send the lowest of the low bass to the sub, so most of it is handled by the fronts and satellites, which aren't up to it. If I simply turn up the sub, I just get more tuneless humming/rumbling not the parts of the song that are supposed to get it (the beat). I seriously get better bass from my Logitech 2.1 system.
