Ok, Hello all, I am new to this forum so please bear with me.
I am needing some info regaurding my Marantz SR6001 receiver.
I know that my sr6001 is stable at 8 ohm, But I am trying to find out if my receiver can as low as 6 or even 4 ohm with out kicking on the "protect Mode"
I am currently running MK's for my Front surrounds, Sony Rears ( Crappy speakers that I have right now) for the rears, Axiom Millieum Center channel, Axiom AX125 Powered 10" woofer Everything is running at 8 ohm, But I am looking at buying the complete Axiom Epic 80-800 series. Any info on the ohm's I can run in my SR6001 would be great, As well I am looking for info on speaker cable size I should be running as well. Hope this helps to explain, If not, just let me know as I am new to your forum.
THanks guys..

I can only offer that I have powered a pair of Behringer 2031P's which are rated at 4 ohms with a sensitivity of 89dB using my SR6001 without event. Since this was only in stereo, I'm not sure how much assurance it provides for you.

When I called Marantz I was told that their recievers will work with speakers down to 4ohms so according to them you should have no problems. I have the SR-5004.
