Need help with horizontal speakers, or speakers to put on their sides for my limited space

So that is my setup, don't really have space for stands, or vertical speakers since they don't fit in the spaces I have. The open spaces are 18"x7". Any suggestions on speakers that would fit and aren't super expensive? This is for a 2.0 or 2.1 system.
