Well a couple weeks ago I bought a 52 inch Panasonic LCD rear projection TV and then bought a Panasonic home theater system with a DVD player and it has HDMI I connected all the cables I connected the component video cables from the DVD palyer to the tv and also connected the HDMI cable from the DVD player to the tv but I am not getting that good of a picture when I play DVDs and go to TV/video on the remote and when I choose HDMI it does not work that good everything is blue but it works better on component 1 and when I went to the setup for the DVD player it says that HDMI is not connected but I know I connected the HDMI cables. Can anyone help me with this and tell me what to do any help would be greatly appreciated

Assuming you have everything correctly configured (some DVD players need to be told to use the HDMI output) it sounds like you may have a bad cable.

I got the problem fixed because I found out I wasnt suppose to use the component video cables and HDMI cable I was only suppose to use the HDMI cable but I have a digital box so I was wondering if I connected the component video cables from the digital box to the tv would the picture on the tv be clearer. Also I heard about fibre optic and digital coaxial cables I was wondering If I need to get those and do they make the picture clearer
