Hi
I am now at my wits end trying to get my sub to work since the addition of my new Panansonic ES10 dvd recorder.
I cant get the sub to work with any dvd or audio cd through the amp (Sherwood RVD 6095RDS)
When i switch subwoofer (Mordant Short MSW20) on it powers up fine and still buzzes which has done for a long time, but i cant get any output from it no matter what sound setting i try, i have toggled with my speaker settings on amp and set all my speakers to the 'SMALL' setting but the amp wont let me toggle the sub setting to on, no matter what! I have still got the manual for this amp, and is says through speaker settings you can toggle sub on and off through the speaker setting button, it wont let me do this.
I have even took my sub to local electrical repair shop, and they have tested it A1-it works fine other then buzzing noise which i can put up with.
I have checked and re-checked wiring but have changed nothing since it worked fine with my old Pioneer DVD 515 player. I have a quality RCA phono lead going from PRE-OUT sub conecter on my amp to LINE INPUT connecter on my sub.
could the sub channel on amp have blown??
i have never really hammered the sub as its very powerful probably too much so for my small lounge, and have never really had need to unplug it from amp
anyone any ideas???
